What is an SGU file?

SGU files mostly belong to Band-in-a-Box. The SGU file extension can refer to two distinct file types used in specialized applications.
For one use, an SGU file is a Song Galaxy song file created for the Band-in-a-Box system. In this context the file stores musical arrangement data such as chord progressions, melody outlines, and instrument settings.
