What is an SKF file?

SKF files mostly belong to AutoSketch by Autodesk. An SKF file is the thumbnail of a design program created with AutoSketch 2D computer-aided design program. A thumbnail is a compressed raster image which displays a preview/sample of a design within a computer's file manager (e.g. Explorer) without opening the actual drawing (SKD file) in AutoSketch. SKF is also the filename extension of a skin used to customize the user interface of Windows desktop applications. This file is created with SkinCrafter graphical user interface application skin customization engine.

How to open SKF files

You need a suitable software like AutoSketch to open an SKF file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
