What is a TP3 file?

TP3 files mostly belong to 3D Office by Topcon. A TP3 file is a 3D image or model project created by Topcon 3D construction/machine control systems and software like Office 3D, Pocket3D, and MAGNET Office Resurfacing. A single TP3 file serves as a container for surfaces (TN3), road alignment (RD3), points (PT3), linework (LN3), and control points (GC3) in a construction project. Third-party GPS, civil engineering, and survey applications developed by Autodesk and Trimble can import a TP3 project.

How to open TP3 files

You need a suitable software like 3D Office to open a TP3 file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
