- Blue Wave offline mail reader (Blue Wave offline mail reader) by Blue Wave SoftwareThe XTI file is an unofficial file of Blue Wave offline mail reader, a popular offline mail reader among bulletin board system users in the early 1990s. The XTI file is created on the fly by the Blue Wave reader and contains a copy of each record in the FTI file. The FTI file records message header information for downloaded messages as well as a pointer to the DAT file that hosts the actual messages. This file format is classified as Archive.
XTI file format:
Each file has a definite file format, that is, how the stored data is arranged in the file. The file format can be deduced from the file extension and the signature. File extension, signature and file format must match; otherwise errors will occur when the file is opened. If there are problems opening a file, you must first determine the file format used. Our analysis of the XTI files produces the following result:
XTI is not a common file extension and is used by a few programs, each with its own file format. The file formats most commonly found in XTI files are:
- 40% of all XTI files are associated with TwinCAT Multi Project/Export files, which internally utilize the well-known XML format. The Extensible Markup Language (XML) is a simple text-based format for representing structured information: documents, webpages, data, configuration, books, transactions, invoices, and much more. XML defines a set of rules for encoding documents in a format that is both human-readable and machine-readable. These files contain text and words, not binary data. A typical file size is 50 KB. The file type is very recent. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. <?xml version="1.0"?> and <TcSmItem xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="http://www.beckhoff.com/schemas/2012/07/TcSmProject" TcSmVersion="1.0" TcVersion=". Examples of file names are Device 1 (EtherCAT).xti. Such files are related to drive and term.
- 20% of all XTI files start with the bytes #XTrackCAD Version: , which are crucial for this file format. If you open these files in a text editor, you can view and read the content yourself. The files are on average 2 KB in size and range from 590 bytes to 2 KB. The following keywords are characteristic: #XTrackCAD Version, VERSION 10 3.0.0, 5.1.2a, Date, STRUCTURE, D 0.000000 0.000000 and Canal Boat Bridge T018b. A usual file name is ScaleScenes T018b Canal Bridge and Boat in OO.xti. Such files are related to scenes, scale, bridge, canal and boat.
All other XTI files (40%) have different formats. They are often associated with ccgp. If you want to find out what your XTI file contains, drag and drop it onto this page.
