What is an APZ file?

APZ files mostly belong to AutoPlay Menu Studio by Indigo Rose. APZ is a proprietary file format used for the exported projects by Autoplay Media Studio software.

Use: Autoplay Media Studio is used for making auto-playable applications. When building these applications, the work in progress is saved as a project file. APZ files are the compressed and archived versions of these project files that can easily be transferred to a different computer, shared with other users, or safely backed-up. The software stores all the implemented code in an amX file where X can stand for 3,4,5,6,7 or 8 depending on the software. APZ files do not come with encryption support.
Support: APZ files can only be opened with Autoplay Media Studio Software which can only be installed on the Windows platform.

How to open an APZ file

You need a suitable software like AutoPlay Menu Studio from Indigo Rose to open an APZ file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your APZ file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a APZ file directly in the browser:. 2% of all APZ files internally utilize the 7z file format. 7z is a compressed archive file format that supports several different data compression, encryption and pre-processing algorithms. They consist of illegible, cryptic characters. The files are on average 20 MB in size and range from 280 KB to 24 MB.
