What is a BCF file?

BCF files mostly belong to bcftools by samtools. A BCF file is a business card created by Business Card Designer. BCF is also the filename extension of a label created with MyLabel Designer. Solibri Model Checker saves a report in BIM Collaboration Format (BCF). Another type of BCF file contains chromatogram traces generated by GEAR tools like Tracy and Indigo. bcftools can read such a BCF file. How to open BCF files

Every file has a defined file format, i.e. how the data is arranged in the file. Each file format has a unique extension and almost always a unique signature.
