" (Windows 10) if you double-click the file. There click on "More apps"
and choose a suitable software to view such files on your PC or from email attachments.
The DNA file type is primarily associated with 'DNA Probe' by SupportSoft, Inc.. Various broadband providers and some computer makers install support software as part of their setup. The program tgcmd.exe is often part of that installation. This program was written by Tioga Systems (now SupportSoft, Inc.). As part of the operation of this software a file named net_save.dna is placed in the root folder of the boot drive. A technology called DNA Probe is part of the operation of the software. DNA Probe is set to run on startup, and, in operation, catalogs all installed programs, folder names, IP addresses, and, using the DNS cache, tracks all DNS queries made from a computer. The stated purpose is to assist in remote help desk support. The program listens on port 641 for SSL connections and, through which, your ISP or computer maker can connect to your computer and take complete control. They can basically do anything on your computer that you can. You have to decide if you want this program to run at startup or not.
