What is a DRN file?

DRN files mostly belong to DRAINS. DRN files serve different technical roles. They are not a single format but group files used by specialized systems.

Drainage Model Files: These files store data for hydraulic calculations and drainage design. They hold simulation parameters for water flow and are used in engineering software from DRAINS. They are also known as drainage design files.

Drone Design Files: Some files with the DRN extension use a ZIP container to hold drone design information. They capture geometric or design details specific to drone manufacturing.

How do you open DRN files?

You need a suitable software like DRAINS to open a DRN file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
