DWM files mostly belong to Digital Works/MIDI player.

A DWM file usually represents one of two specialized types. It may be a Digital Works Macro file that stores a sequence of commands or settings for a specific macro system. The content is kept in a proprietary format and is meant to be processed by the designated Digital Works software.

9% of all DWM files are based on the well-known MIDI file format. They consist of unreadable binary data. A typical file size is 13 KB. The keywords MThd and MTrk are typical for these files. Examples of file names are Stage1.dwm or Defeat.DWM.
