What is a DXL file

DXL files mostly belong to Domino by HCL. A DXL file contains data used by some versions of Domino email, calendar, and instant messaging application for Linux, Windows, and macOS. The contents of this file are written in Extensible Markup Language (XML). Data stored in such DXL file include database schemas, views, indices, forms, and designs. A different DXL file is a script written in DOORS Extension Language. It is used to automate processes in Rational Dynamic Object Oriented Requirement System (DOORS) requirements management application. How to open a DXL file

You need a suitable software like Domino to open a DXL file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. This code is translated into machine language by a compiler. The translated result is called app, program or executable. The contents of these files can even be read by a human. The files are 250 bytes to 23 KB in size, with a median of 1 KB.
