What is an EAL file?

EAL files mostly belong to PitStop Server. EAL files are used differently depending on the software that created them. One common type is an Enfocus Action List file. This file stores commands and settings in a PDF‐based format that PitStop Server reads to automate tasks such as preflighting and correcting PDF documents. Another variation of an EAL file uses the RIFF format. How to open an EAL file

You need a suitable software like PitStop Server to open an EAL file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. The file format determines how the data is stored in the file. • 55% of all EAL files are using the well-known PDF file format to store the data.
