F11 file format:
The file format determines how the data is stored in the file. A file format is determined by the file extension and signature, so JPEG images have the extension .jpg and the first bytes in the file are ÿØÿ. If the file extension does not match the file format, double-clicking on the file will cause an error upon opening. When there is a problem with a file, the first step to solving it is to determine the file format. Our evaluation of the F11 files looks like this:
The F11 file extension is not widely used. Such a file is mainly used by one program with a specific format. However, the following two file formats are common:
- 90% of all F11 files are based on the popular XML file format. The Extensible Markup Language (XML) is a simple text-based format for representing structured information: documents, webpages, data, configuration, books, transactions, invoices, and much more. XML defines a set of rules for encoding documents in a format that is both human-readable and machine-readable. If you open these files in a text editor, you can view and read the content yourself. The files are often between 6 KB and 9 KB in size. The file type was created recently. The keywords <?xml version="1.0", xmlns, Form11 xmlns, currency, form11, formversion, http://www.ros.ie/schemas/rostypes/, langua and encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?><ns3:Form11 are typical for these files. Such files sometimes refer to form.
All other F11 files (10%) have different formats. If you want to find out which format your F11 file belongs to, just click on the button "Choose your .f11 file to view".

How to solve problems with F11 files
- Associate the F11 file extension with the correct application.
- Update your software that should actually open structured xml data files. Because only the current version supports the latest F11 file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the manufacturer website after an available ROS Form 11 Viewer update.
- To make sure that your F11 file is not corrupted or virus-infected, get the file again and scan it with Google's virustotal.com.
