What is a GSHEET file?

GSHEET files mostly belong to Chrome by Google. GSHEET is the filename extension of a JSON document created when a user exports a spreadsheet created with Sheets from some versions of Drive. It contains a single JSON object with the spreadsheet's URL, document id (doc_id), and the author's email. Information saved in a GSHEET file allows Chrome browser users to edit spreadsheets with the Google Docs Offline plugin when Chrome is offline. Some GSHEET files are PDF documents exported from Docs applications in Drive. They can also be opened by Chrome.
