How to open LPP files

You need a suitable software like Motorola LinkPlanner to open an LPP file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. The file format, which is the arrangement and type of data in a file, determines which program can open the file. Frequently, however, one file extension is used by different programs for different file formats, and one file format for different file extensions. The LPP file extension is not found very often and is used by different programs with different formats. The two most common formats are as follows:

• 40% of all LPP files store the data in the BZ2 file format. The BZ2 format is used by the bzip2 command in Linux to compress and decompress files. These files contain neither text nor words, but only data. The files are 6 KB to 150 KB in size, with a median of 24 KB. The file type is very recent. The files contain the following words: BZh91AY&SY. Such files sometimes refer to link, planner, tower and draft, and frequently comprise personal data.
• 20% of all LPP files are using the well-known XML file format to store the data. The Extensible Markup Language (XML) is a simple text-based format for representing structured information: documents, webpages, data, configuration, books, transactions, invoices, and much more. XML defines a set of rules for encoding documents in a format that is both human-readable and machine-readable. The contents of these files can even be read by a human. A typical file size is 3 KB. The keywords <PROJECT version="1.0.00"><APPLICATION, APPLICATION step, PRINTER default, lightscribe_drive_index, lightscribe_drive_path, x_offset, y_offset, copy, series, 18446744073709551615 and target_label are typical for these files. Such files are related to label, front and case, and frequently comprise personal data.
