P83 file format:
Every file has a defined file format, i.e. how the data is arranged in the file. Each file format has a unique extension and almost always a unique signature. For example, Microsoft Word documents have the extension .docx and the signature (usually the first 3 characters in this file) PK. File extension, signature and file format must match; otherwise errors will occur when the file is opened. Exact knowledge of the format is therefore important in order to solve problems occurring in files. Our analysis of the P83 files produces the following result:
The P83 file extension is not widely used. Such a file is mainly used by one program with a specific format. The two most popular formats are as follows:
- 99% of all P83 files start with the bytes #begin[G, which are crucial for this file format. The contents of these files are easily readable with a text editor. The files are often between 19 KB and 820 KB in size. It is a modern file type. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as #begin[GAEBInfo], #begin[GAEB], [Version]1.2[end], Datum, Uhrzeit, [VersMon]3[end], [VersJahr]2002[end], GAEB Toolbox V3, [ProgSystem]/ GAEB, Toolbox V3.2 and ProgName. These files are attributed to gaeb, rohbau, fenster, stahlbauarbeiten, stahlbau, elektro, bord, glas, lohn and tore.
All other P83 files (1%) have different formats. If you want to find out which format your P83 file belongs to, just click on the button "Choose your .p83 file to view".
