What is a PREL file?

PREL files mostly belong to Premiere Elements by Adobe. PREL is the filename extension of video projects created with Premiere Elements, a video-editing software distributed as a basic version of Premiere Pro. PREL files contain references to one or more audio and video tracks, a timeline, project configuration, effects, and subtitles. Contents of PREL video project files are written in XML syntax.
