What is a PX file

Such PX files contain image data, layers, layer effects, masks, paths, and other modifications applied to the image(s) saved in the file. The color model used in a PX file can be grayscale, RGB, CMYK, or HDR. PX is also the filename extension of streaming videos stored by ProShow Producer slideshow and video authoring software. PxWin, a statistics and graphing software that can be used for data visualization saves statistics metadata in PX files. Metadata found in these PX files include keys, dates, codes, sources, character sets, and variable text. The actual data stored in such a PX file is set as the value of the "Data" variable. PX is also the filename extension of the primary database index file used by Paradox relational database management system.
