What is an RVB file?

RVB files mostly belong to Rhinoceros 3D. RVB files are RhinoScript Visual Basic files used within the Rhinoceros 3D system. These files contain scripts written in Visual Basic that automate commands and operations in Rhino.

These files start with the 3 bytes  (hex: EF BB BF), the so called byte order mark (BOM). These files contain text and words, not binary data. The files are on average 1 KB in size and range from 510 bytes to 4 KB. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. Option Explicit, 'Script written, Call and 'Script version. The file name MultiRectPipe.rvb is typical for these files. These files are often associated with weight.
