What is an SPV file?

SPV files mostly belong to SPSS by IBM. SPV file extension is used to store statistical output associated with the Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) software developed by IBM.

The game developed with id Tech 3 game engine, uses SPV files to store existing in-game configuration data indicative of the player's progress. These files are found in the \BASE sub-directory within the game folder on the Windows PC where it is installed.

How to open an SPV file

You need a suitable software like SPSS to open an SPV file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
