What is a TCD file

TCD files mostly belong to TunerPro. TCD files are not a single type of file but refer to different data containers used by specialized applications.

Title Challenge Database: Files that use a ZIP-based format to hold TunerPro Autotune data, typically used with simulation software such as Train Simulator.

How can I open a TCD file?

You need a suitable software like TunerPro to open a TCD file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. Every file has a defined file format, i.e. how the data is arranged in the file. Often, the file format can be deduced from the file extension or the initial bytes (called the signature). Frequently, however, one file extension is used by different programs for different file formats, and one file format for different file extensions. If there are problems opening a file, you must first determine the file format used. In the following you will find our evaluation of the TCD files:

The file type with the extension 'TCD' does not have a uniform file format. The two most common formats are as follows:

• 6% of all TCD files use the ZIP format, multiple files are compressed and combined into one TCD file. A TCD file contains 1 to 6 files, the average being 3. Files like these have the following tags: current, bias, lfea and magnete.
