What is a TME file

TME files mostly belong to Bryce by DAZ. TME files are used to store motion settings and time curves for a 3D animation created using Bryce, a 3D modelling and animation software for Windows and Mac. TME files can be found in the Bryce installation directory under the /Presets/ folder. EdgeCAM, an industrial modelling and simulation software developed by EDGECAM also stores some of its licensing data in TME files.

How to open TME files

You need a suitable software like Bryce to open a TME file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. TME file format:

Every file has a defined file format, i.e. how the data is arranged in the file. The file format can be deduced from the file extension and the signature. If the file extension does not match the file format, double-clicking on the file will cause an error upon opening. Exact knowledge of the format is therefore important in order to solve problems occurring in files. Below is our analysis of the TME files:

• 35% of all TME files internally use the Microsoft Compound File format, also known as Compound File Binary File format (CFBF or CFB) or OLE2 Compound Document format. Compound document files work similarly to real file systems. A typical file size is 92 KB. The file type was developed 10 years ago and is still in use today. An example of a file name is 2020-06-01-01.tme or 2020-06-01-02.tme.
• 10% of all TME files are based on the well-known Java file format. This format is used to save Java objects to a file (ex. save game state as file) via object serialization. Such a Java object may contain functions and data like settings, images or videos. These are binary files, so they do not contain words or text. The average file size is 500 KB with most files being between 7 KB and 4 MB in size. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. image.Telemis.7ur, java.lang.Integer, java.lang.Number, valuexr, TERMOGRAF and TermoGraf v5.7. These files are often associated with seraing, sers, tmaa and ciclo.

The remaining 55% of all TME files are different files with different signatures, often, for example, ZIP, XML and GXT. Sometimes used for scenery, coat, collar, money, attackfast, aircraft, alqamees, classic, bottom, thobe or hero.
