Opening a TME File
The TME file type is primarily associated with Bryce.
What is a TME file
How to open TME files
You need a suitable software like Bryce to open a TME file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your TME file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a TME file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

Programs that open and convert TME files:
- Bryce by DAZ
See the previous paragraphs to learn more about the main application. TME files are often referred to as Bryce 3d images because this type of file is primarily created or used by this software.
- EdgeCAM (licensing data) by EDGECAMEdgeCAM is a CAD/CAM software mainly used for creating and simulating 3D models of industrial machinery. It's ONE, RNT, and TME are used to update its dongle-based and timed licensing models on a user's computer. This file format is classified as Settings.
TME file format:
Every file has a defined file format, i.e. how the data is arranged in the file. The file format can be deduced from the file extension and the signature. If the file extension does not match the file format, double-clicking on the file will cause an error upon opening. Exact knowledge of the format is therefore important in order to solve problems occurring in files. Below is our analysis of the TME files:
The TME file extension includes different formats for the applicable programs. The file formats most commonly found in TME files are:
- 35% of all TME files internally use the Microsoft Compound File format, also known as Compound File Binary File format (CFBF or CFB) or OLE2 Compound Document format. Compound document files work similarly to real file systems. They contain a number of independent data streams (like files in a file system) which are organized in a hierarchy of containers (like sub-directories in a file system). The Compound Document format is always starting with the bytes D0 CF 11 E0 A1 B1 1A E1. The file contains several sections with names like Head, label, other, Stream1, Stream2, Stream3, Stream4, Stream10, Stream11, Stream12, Stream13, Stream14, Stream15, Stream16, Stream5, Stream6, Stream7, Stream8 and Stream9. A typical file size is 92 KB. The file type was developed 10 years ago and is still in use today. An example of a file name is 2020-06-01-01.tme or 2020-06-01-02.tme.
- 10% of all TME files are based on the well-known Java file format. This format is used to save Java objects to a file (ex. save game state as file) via object serialization. Such a Java object may contain functions and data like settings, images or videos. These are binary files, so they do not contain words or text. The average file size is 500 KB with most files being between 7 KB and 4 MB in size. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. image.Telemis.7ur, java.lang.Integer, java.lang.Number, valuexr, TERMOGRAF and TermoGraf v5.7. These files are often associated with seraing, sers, tmaa and ciclo.
The remaining 55% of all TME files are different files with different signatures, often, for example, ZIP, XML and GXT. Sometimes used for scenery, coat, collar, money, attackfast, aircraft, alqamees, classic, bottom, thobe or hero. You can get all the details of your TME file by dragging it onto this page or by clicking the button "Choose your .tme file to analyze" above.
Technical Data for TME File Extension
The following listing is compiled from the database produced by the 'Associate This!' program, selected data from the main FILExt database and file extension information submitted by users.

EXEFile: %ProgramFiles%\DAZ\Bryce 5.5\Bryce55.exe
a tme time curve is a special file format by DAZ and should only be edited and saved with the appropriate software.
How to solve problems with TME files
- Associate the TME file extension with the correct application.
- Update your software that should actually open time curves. Because only the current version supports the latest TME file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the DAZ manufacturer website after an available Bryce update.
- To make sure that your TME file is not corrupted or virus-infected, get the file again and scan it with Google's virustotal.com.
- Click here to open your .TME file online - secure, fast, and no downloads needed.
