What is a URI file

URI files mostly belong to ZINC-downloader. URI files hold Uniform Resource Identifiers that point to network resources.

Many of these files contain a plain text list of URLs used by tools such as ZINC-downloader (more info).

Some URI files use an XML structure under the Universal Storage Interface, a method employed by National Instruments DIAdem.

Other variants store MongoDB connection strings for database applications like Studio 3T (visit Studio 3T).

How to open a URI file

You need a suitable software like ZINC-downloader to open a URI file. If you cannot open your URI file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a URI file directly in the browser:.
