What is a V3D file?

V3D files mostly belong to Visual3D by Realmware. V3D file extension is mainly used to store data for 3-dimensional models used by Visual3D, a simulation-game development software for Windows computers. V3D files can contain a range of 3D data including media assets and 3D scenes. You may also find V3D files having type-specific extensions with the v3d[type] syntax. Examples include V3DMedia and V3DScene. Visualizer 3D, a program used with OKM metal detectors uses the V3D file extension to store 3D representations of targets that are detected by the metal detector. The V3D file extension is also associated with ViaCAD 2D/3D, a computer-aided design program. ViaCAD 2D/3D stores 3D drawings in V3D files.

How to open a V3D file

You need a suitable software like Visual3D to open a V3D file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your V3D file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a V3D file directly in the browser:. The following keywords are characteristic: OKM Ortungstechnik GmbH, 09OPL, 120304/1, RJBWI, RZ89I, FSF.2 and '(C)2002-2005 by OKM Ortungstechnik GmbH. 20180601.v3d is a typical file name. Such files are related to harsin.

The remaining 35% of all V3D files are files with no common format, often, for example, Vissim 3D Vehicle model, Vectric Cut3D model, ZIP, GZIP and ant.
