The WTK file type is primarily associated with 'OTDR Fiber Optics Analysis Trace' by JDS Uniphase Corporation. OTDR = Optical Time Domain Reflectometer. OTDR instruments are one of the standard instruments for texting of optical networks. This extension is one of the extensions used to name the files generated by the equipment originally manufactured by Wavetek Wandel Golterman (MTS family of OTDRs), which later sold its fiber optics business to Acterna. Acterna itself, was acquired by JDSU.
