File Extension X3F

File type: RAW Picture File

The X3F file type is primarily associated with 'Sigma Camera' by Sigma. Use the SIGMA Photo Pro software provided with the camera to download and manipulate the photos. The Foveon X3 direct image sensor captures all three colors at every pixel location and requires special software to manipulate the RAW files. Any camera with a Foveon sensor may be able to save and use this format.

When windows gives you an error message saying that it
"Cannot open X3F files", this means either:

A. You need to identify a program that can open the file
B. Or your registry may be damaged

In both cases it is strongly recommended that you
run a free scan for registry errors.
