What is an XPA file?

XPA files mostly belong to Pelco Digital Sentry. Pelco Video Export Format: If you have an XPA file, it is most likely a file exported from a Pelco surveillance system. These files are produced by devices such as the Pelco Digital Video Recorder and are part of the Pelco DX System.     How do you open XPA files?

    You need a suitable software like Pelco Digital Sentry to open an XPA file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your XPA file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a XPA file directly in the browser:.     Programs that open and convert XPA files:

    1. Pelco Digital Sentry
      See the previous paragraphs to learn more about the main application. XPA files are often referred to as Pelco Digital Sentry videos because this type of file is primarily created or used by this software.

      SoniqCast uses eXtended Playlist Attributes for storing attribute information for SoniqSync Extensions to standard playlists for audio media. *.XPA invokes SoniqSync.exe and that application will then, in turn, invoke the corresponding shell-registered application for each of the embedded media files (i.e., similar to a *.M3U playlist in that it contains a collection of media clips).     3. Xpandata DB Transfer
      Originally defined by Xpandata 1n 1979, this file type is now used internationally for secure transfer of email and secure information using FTP and a variety of eSafeMail readers with SMTP/IMAP emulators.
