What is a BPP file

BPP files mostly belong to Cabinet Vision. BPP files are not one-size-fits-all. Their content depends on the software that created them. In many cases, BPP files hold detailed data for projects.

40% of all BPP files start with the magic bytes 2B 74 04 37 31 39 31, which are always the first bytes of this file format. These are binary files, so they do not contain words or text. Most of these files are 2 MB to 5 MB in size. The file type is very recent. Such files are related to love, and often consist of personal data.
30% of all BPP files start with the magic bytes [HEADER] TYPE=BPP VER=1, which are always the first bytes of this file format. These files are text files and can therefore be read using a text editor. BPP files can be up to 89 KB in size, but are often around 1 KB - 32 KB. The files contain the following words: ORLST, TYPE=BPP, [DESCRIPTION], [HEADER], [VARIABLES], VER=150, PAN=TLCHK!0!!1!, PAN=TOOLING!""!!3! and PAN=SIMMETRY!1!!1!.
