All about CCD Files
The CCD file type is primarily associated with ClickCharts.
What is a CCD file?
How can I open a CCD file?
You need a suitable software like ClickCharts to open a CCD file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your CCD file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a CCD file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

Programs that open and convert CCD files:
- ClickCharts by NCH
See the previous paragraphs to learn more about the main application. CCD files are often referred to as ClickCharts cads because this type of file is primarily created or used by this software.
- CloneCD (disk image) by SlySoftCloneCD is a discontinued music/data CD cloning software. It uses a CCD file to store the control data of a music or data compact disc image. This file format is classified as Disk Image. Related links: IsoBuster Data Recovery Tool
- IsoBuster (disk image control) by Smart ProjectsIsoBuster is a data recovery and disk cloning software compatible with Windows desktop. It can extract, convert, or write a CCD file containing a disk image's control data created by CloneCD. This file format is classified as Disk Image.
- Vector CAD (program) by VectorcamVector CAD is a computer-aided design and CNC programming software. It uses a CCD file to store a CNC program. This file format is classified as CAD.
CCD format details:
The file format, which is the arrangement and type of data in a file, determines which program can open the file. The file format can be deduced from the file extension and the signature. However, different programs can use the same file extension, and file extensions can be assigned incorrectly. Exact knowledge of the format is therefore important in order to solve problems occurring in files. Our analysis of the CCD files produces the following result:
As a file extension, CCD isn't very common and is used by a few programs, each with its own file format. However, the following two file formats are common:
- 40% of all CCD files belong to ClickCharts Diagram. If you open these files in a text editor, you will see only illegible characters. The file size is in the range of 12 KB to 79 KB. The file type is relatively new. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. lsdf. These files are often associated with chart, flow, diagrama and process.
- 35% of all CCD files belong to Elaborate Bytes/SlySoft CloneCD CDImage. The files are using the common file format config. A configuration file is used by computer software to store settings. It consists of a text-based content with a structure and syntax comprising key–value pairs for properties, and sections that organize the properties. The content consists of readable text data, which can be read using a text editor. Most of these files are 770 bytes to 2 KB in size. The keywords DataTracksScrambled=0, Version=3, [CloneCD], [Disc], ADR=0x01, CDTextLength=0, Point=0xa0, Session=1, Sessions=1, [Entry 0], [Session 1], Control=0x04, TocEntries=4, PreGapSubC=0, PreGapMode=1, TrackN, PreGapMode=2 and PreGapSubC=1 are typical for these files. The file name IMAGE.CCD is typical for these files. These files can be linked to ntsc and slus.
The remaining 25% of all CCD files are different files with different signatures, frequently e.g. Harry Potter and CorelCAD Drawing. The category is data. If you want to find out what your CCD file contains, drag and drop it onto this page.

a ccd diagram/chart is a special file format by NCH and should only be edited and saved with the appropriate software.
How to solve problems with CCD files
- Associate the CCD file extension with the correct application.
- Update your software that should actually open diagram/charts. Because only the current version supports the latest CCD file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the NCH manufacturer website after an available ClickCharts update.
- To make sure that your CCD file is not corrupted or virus-infected, get the file again and scan it with Google's virustotal.com.
- Click here to open your .CCD file online - secure, fast, and no downloads needed.
