What is a CDC file?
How do you open CDC files?
You need a suitable software like AutoCAD to open a CDC file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your CDC file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a CDC file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

CDC file format:
The file format, which is the arrangement and type of data in a file, determines which program can open the file. The first characters in a file identify the file format, for example, HTML files start with the bytes <html>. However, different programs can use the same file extension. Furthermore, a file extension can be renamed incorrectly and double-clicking on it will then display an error when it is opened. When there is a problem with a file, the first step to solving it is to determine the file format. Our examination of the CDC files comes to the following conclusion:
The CDC file type is used by different programs with different formats. However, the following two file formats are common:
- 20% of all CDC files do not have a uniform signature. These files contain text and words as well as binary data. The average file size is 4 KB with most files being between 2 KB and 7 KB in size. The file type was created recently. The keywords Prestadora Telefonica, ServMens, Servi, Tipo:TipoServMens:string:80,0:text, os Mensais, CESAR, Identificador:IDServMens:s, MARTINS and RAMOS are typical for these files. Files like these are sometimes connected to outubro, maio, abril, janeiro, dezembro, setembro, junho, fevereiro and agosto.
- 20% of all CDC files are based on the Microsoft Compound File format, which is also known as Compound File Binary File format (CFBF or CFB) or OLE2 Compound Document format. This Windows file format has features similar to those of a filesystem format with virtual files and subfolders. Header signature for the CFB format with 8-byte Hex value D0CF11E0A1B11AE1 (which looks like "DOCFILE"). The file contains sections List Elements, Version and DWG Drawing. The files are often between 5 KB and 220 KB in size.
All the rest of the CDC files (60%) have different formats, frequently e.g. ZIP and hoven. They are often associated with julho, vivo, backup, backlight, metadata, novembro, hiedss, reader or lead. Just click the "Choose your .cdc file to analyze" button on this page to find out what your CDC file is.

How to solve problems with CDC files
- Associate the CDC file extension with the correct application.
- Update your software that should actually open preview caches. Because only the current version supports the latest CDC file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the Autodesk manufacturer website after an available AutoCAD update.
- To make sure that your CDC file is not corrupted or virus-infected, get the file again and scan it with Google's virustotal.com.
- Click here to open your .CDC file online - secure, fast, and no downloads needed.
