What is a GG file?

GG files mostly belong to MEKA by SMS Power. A GG file is a video game extracted from the ROM or cartridge of Game Gear consoles manufactured by SEGA. This file is saved as a compressed disk image containing an exact copy of all data saved on a Game Gear ROM or cartridge. Emulators such as MEKA can load and play a GG file. Another type of GG file is a grid graph that Gridgen uses to generate meshes. ARRIS computer-aided architectural design software uses a GG file to save compiled SigmaC code in a different GG file.

How to open a GG file

You need a suitable software like MEKA to open a GG file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
