If you have a Lyra that takes a SD card, those same files are generated on the card as well for the MP3 files contained on it. The fifth file generated is named LYRAPDB.DAT, and is a text file containing information such as band names and song titles, along with what seems to be file name shorthand often used by programs for file management. The DAT file seems to be based on the number of MP3s on the flash ROM inside the Lyra itself or on the installed SD card, but is still smaller then 100 KB for a 256 MB SD card full of normal sized (3-5 MB) MP3s. All those files are stored in a folder named LYRA_SYS on the flash ROM of the MP3's they index. The information for those files comes directly form the ID tags of the MP3s. This association is classified as Database.
