What is an MRG file

MRG files mostly belong to MySQL by Oracle. An MRG file is a merged database table created with the MERGE Storage Engine in MySQL relational database management system. This file is stored in MySQL's data dictionary. It contains the names of two or more tables which may be retrieved as one. An MRG file is generated when the MERGE command is used in a database query. Like standard database tables, a database admin can perform CRUD operations on an MRG table. Another type of MRG file is a merge package containing registry entries, files, and setup logic in a Windows Installer package (MSI file).

How do you open MRG files?

You need a suitable software like MySQL to open an MRG file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
