What is an OXPS file

OXPS files mostly belong to XPS Viewer by Microsoft. An OXPS file is a document formatted and saved in accordance with the Open XML Paper Specification. The document is actually a ZIP compressed archive containing XML and XAML files which contain text and a markup describing a page's layout (structure). Images and locally saved media referenced by the XML and XAML file are saved in the same OXPS file. Graphical objects in an OXPS document are saved as vector objects. This makes them resolution independent and able to scale to any size. XPS Viewer is the Windows program for viewing an OXPS document.
