What is an SCC file

SCC files mostly belong to Scenarist by Sonic. SCC filename extension is associated with video files containing screen recordings captured with ScreenFlow, a screen recording software for MacOS. Such SCC files are stored in a proprietary unrendered video format prior to exporting the video and audio streams to standard formats such as MOV, MP4, or Flash. StitchCraft, a textile design software for Windows saves designs in SCC files. Visual SourceSafe, a discontinued version control system developed by Microsoft also used SCC files to store source code information. This type of SCC file contains information used to commit, copy, remove, or manage local copies of source code files. SCC filename extension is also used to store closed caption data files created by Scenarist, a media tool for authoring Blu-ray discs.

How to open SCC files

You need a suitable software like Scenarist to open an SCC file.
