What is an SMDL file?

SMDL files mostly belong to SQL Server by Microsoft Corporation. A report model is a metadata description of a data source and its relationships. This file type is used by a file sharing program called UTD. The SMDL file contains information about the various parts of a full download and you use the program to find and then download the various portions of the full download which is then constructed from the parts.
