SMT file format:
The file format determines how the data is stored in the file. Each file format has a unique extension and almost always a unique signature. For example, Microsoft Word documents have the extension .docx and the signature (usually the first 3 characters in this file) PK. If the file extension or signature does not match the file format, errors will occur when opening or editing the file. If there are problems opening a file, you must first determine the file format used. Below is our analysis of the SMT files:
SMT is not a commonly used file extension and is used by different programs with different formats. However, the following two file formats are common:
- 20% of all SMT files start with the bytes 22, which are crucial for this file format. If you open these files in a text editor, you can view and read the content yourself. The average file size is 460 KB with most files being between 220 bytes and 18 MB in size. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as asmheader, Autodesk Translation, 1 9.999999999999999547e-07 1.000000000000000036e-10, 13 226 and 30 Autodesk Translation Framework 20 ASM 226.
- 20% of all SMT files save the data in XML file format. The Extensible Markup Language (XML) is a simple text-based format for representing structured information: documents, webpages, data, configuration, books, transactions, invoices, and much more. XML defines a set of rules for encoding documents in a format that is both human-readable and machine-readable. The content consists of readable text data, which can be read using a text editor. SMT files are between 2 KB and 47 KB in size. The keywords </rootObjects>, <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>, <MasterTrack>, <root name="Signature, <root name="Tempo, <rootObjects>, Signature Track, Tempo Track and Prosama are typical for these files. Examples of file names are Tempo.smt. Files like these are about track.
All other SMT files (60%) have no uniform format, often, for example, ZIP. They are often associated with trace, spiderverse, samata or boot. If you want to find out what your SMT file contains, drag and drop it onto this page.
