What is a TMC file?

TMC files mostly belong to TMC Editor.

• 3D Character Texture Model: These TMC files are used as game assets, such as 3D character textures in titles like Dead or Alive Xtreme 3. They are edited with tools like TMC Editor.
• Measurement Data Files: Other TMC files store measurement information from lab instruments. They can hold temperature data, titration measurement curves, or coulometer method information. This data is used in specialized analysis software.

How to open a TMC file

You need a suitable software like TMC Editor to open a TMC file. TMC file format:

The file format determines how the data is stored in the file. Often, the file format can be deduced from the file extension or the initial bytes (called the signature). If the file extension does not match the file format, double-clicking on the file will cause an error upon opening. So you need a detailed analysis of a file to find out the format and the associated program. Our evaluation of the TMC files is as follows:

TMC is not a commonly used file extension and includes various formats for various programs. However, the following two file formats are common:

• 40% of all TMC files have the same signature TMC. These files contain neither text nor words, but only data. The average file size is 1 MB with most files being between 86 KB and 2 MB in size. The file type is relatively new. Such files are related to face, hair, hlod, ayane, doaxvv, kokoro, effpk, woman and dlcu.
• 8% of all TMC files start with the bytes 00 0A 02 00, which are crucial for this file format. They consist of unreadable binary data. The files are on average 1 KB in size and range from 210 bytes to 2 KB.
