How can I open a TPX file?
You need a suitable software like TurboPrint to open a TPX file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your TPX file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a TPX file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

TPX file format details:
To view or edit TPX files you need to know the file format, because it determines how the data in this file is stored. The initial characters of a file are called signature, sometimes also referred to as "magic bytes". The signature can be used to infer the file format. File extension, signature and file format must match; otherwise errors will occur when the file is opened. So you need a detailed analysis of a file to find out the format and the associated program. Below is our analysis of the TPX files:
The TPX file extension is not found very often and covers different formats for different programs. The two most popular formats are as follows:
- 25% of all TPX files use the Microsoft Compound File format, which is also known as Compound File Binary File format (CFBF or CFB) or OLE2 Compound Document format. This is a complex container format used by earlier versions of Microsoft Office and other Windows programs. Compound files begin always with signature bytes D0 CF 11 E0 A1 B1 1A E1 (ÐÏࡱá). The internal containers are called 3yukjdqz4judrmcxAaaqobblBh, 4yukjdqz4judrmcxAaaqobblBh, Image Obj-0, Image Obj-1, Image Obj-2, Image Obj-3, Image Obj-4, Image Obj-5, Image Obj-6, Image Obj-7 and Doc Preview Image. The files are often between 120 KB and 5 MB in size. The file type is very old and rarely used today. Files like these are sometimes connected to person-related data.
- 15% of all TPX files start with the bytes Project { AutoSave(0) Desc(" crucial for this file format. These files are text files, so they contain words and text. The files are 5 KB to 460 KB in size, with a median of 38 KB. The files contain the following words: AutoSave(0), Desc, Project {, Scale(""), RemoteID(""), SubFolder(0), Drawings and Guid. Such TPX files store data about export and auto, and often consist of personal data.
The remaining 60% of all TPX files are different files with different signatures, often e.g. XML, JetDB, config, ZIP, TpX and Head. These files are often connected to font or modbus. If you want to find out what your TPX file contains, drag and drop it onto this page.

- Update your software that should actually open data files. Because only the current version supports the latest TPX file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the manufacturer website after an available TurboPrint update.
- To make sure that your TPX file is not corrupted or virus-infected, get the file again and scan it with Google's virustotal.com.
- Click here to open your .TPX file online - secure, fast, and no downloads needed.
