What is a VRO file?
How to open VRO files
You need a suitable software like PowerDVD to open a VRO file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your VRO file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a VRO file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

VRO file format details:
The file format determines how the data is stored in the file. The file format can be determined based on the file extension and the signature (the first few characters of a file). If the file extension or signature does not match the file format, errors will occur when opening or editing the file. Exact knowledge of the format is therefore important in order to solve problems occurring in files. Below you will find our evaluation of the VRO files:
The VRO file extension is not common and mainly uses a special format. The two most popular formats are as follows:
- 90% of all VRO files are DVD Video Recording format files. If you open these files in a text editor, you will see only illegible characters. Most of these files are 270 MB to 4 GB in size. The file type was primarily used more than 20 years ago. A common filename is VR_MOVIE.VRO. These files are often associated with movie.
- 5% of all VRO files are using the well-known Mac2OSX file format to store the data. The Mac2OSX format is an AppleDouble format and originally used to store additional metadata on Unix systems. These files are binary files, so they do not contain text, but only cryptic characters. The files are often between 4 KB and 4 KB in size.
The remaining 5% of all VRO files are files with no common format. If you want to find out what your VRO file contains, drag and drop it onto this page.
