Opening ABT Files
The ABT file type is primarily associated with Baby Connect, FORScan.
What is an ABT file?
ABT files serve two distinct purposes. One type is used by the Baby Connect Android app to hold a Stylina baby data archive. These files are internally stored as a ZIP archive. The other type is used by FORScan to store Ford vehicle configuration data, often referred to as an as-built file.

How to open an ABT file
You need a suitable software like Baby Connect, FORScan to open an ABT file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your ABT file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a ABT file directly in the browser:. Each file has a definite file format, that is, how the stored data is arranged in the file. The first characters in a file identify the file format, for example, HTML files start with the bytes <html>. However, different programs can use the same file extension, and file extensions can be assigned incorrectly. So you need a detailed analysis of a file to find out the format and the associated program. Below is our analysis of the ABT files:
The ABT file extension is very common and is used by many programs, each with its own file format. However, the following two file formats are common:
- 15% of all ABT files are associated with Car diagnostic data. These files are plain text, which means they can be viewed with any text editor such as Windows Editor, Nano for Linux, and TextEdit for macOS. - 10% of all ABT files internally use the ZIP format, so multiple files are compressed and stored together in one ABT file. An ABT file contains 1 to 4 files, the average being 1. Customary file names are baby.json. You can see the included files and images by renaming the file extension to .zip and then double-clicking it. The files are 1 KB to 570 KB in size, with a median of 84 KB. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as baby.json. The file name - data.abt is typical for these files. Such files are related to baby and stylina, and include person-related information.
