B16 file format:
To find out what program is needed to open B16 files, you need to determine the file format. Often, the file format can be deduced from the file extension or the initial bytes (called the signature). So a detailed analysis of a file is vital in order to determine the format and the associated program. Our analysis of the B16 files produces the following result:
B16 is not a common file extension and includes different formats for different programs. However, the following two file formats are common:
- 65% of all B16 files are PCO bitmap files. These are binary files, so they do not contain words or text. The average file size is 8 MB with most files being between 1 MB and 11 MB in size. The file type was developed 10 years ago and is still in use today. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. PCO-. B0001.b16 or Cam1_0001A.b16 is a typical file name. Such B16 files store data about dpostelpo.
