All about BDX Files
The BDX file type is primarily associated with Bryton Active.
What is a BDX file
Common Implementations:
How to open a BDX file
You need a suitable software like Bryton Active to open a BDX file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your BDX file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a BDX file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

BDX file extension format:
If you know the file format, you can also find out how to open or edit the file. Often, the file format can be deduced from the file extension or the initial bytes (called the signature). However, different programs can use the same file extension. Furthermore, a file extension can be renamed incorrectly and double-clicking on it will then display an error when it is opened. So a detailed analysis of a file is vital in order to determine the format and the associated program. Below is our analysis of the BDX files:
The BDX file extension is not widely used. Such a file includes different formats for different programs. The following file formats are most commonly found in BDX files:
- 20% of all BDX files have the same signature bdx. These files contain neither text nor words, but only data. The file size is in the range of 42 KB to 340 KB. This file type is new and state-of-the-art. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. contentLen, schemaLen, version, bdx2, attachLen and bdx1.
- 10% of all BDX files are using the well-known XML file format to store the data. The Extensible Markup Language (XML) is a simple text-based format for representing structured information: documents, webpages, data, configuration, books, transactions, invoices, and much more. XML defines a set of rules for encoding documents in a format that is both human-readable and machine-readable. These files are plain text, which means they can be viewed with any text editor such as Windows Editor, Nano for Linux, and TextEdit for macOS. The files are on average 500 KB in size and range from 6 KB to 850 KB. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> and <gpx xmlns="http://www.brytonsport.com/BDX/2/2" creator="bryton" version="2.2.0.3" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="htt. Some examples of file names are 20180601.bdx.
All other BDX files (70%) have different formats, such as ZIP, INFOTrieve, cAGn and bdx. These files are often connected to update, link, fujitsu, desk, board, types or card. You can get all the details of your BDX file by dragging it onto this page or by clicking the button "Choose your .bdx file to analyze" above.
Technical Data for BDX File Extension
