What is a DDW file?

DDW files mostly belong to Wallpaper Engine. Dynamic Desktop Wallpaper (DDW) files have multiple uses. Most often, these files act as dynamic wallpaper archives that are packaged as ZIP files. They contain images, animation sequences, and configuration scripts that change your desktop appearance automatically with time or events.

Dynamic Wallpaper: Contains the media and settings used by a wallpaper engine to generate a changing background.
