FACES file format:
A file format defines how the data in the file is structured. The initial characters of a file are called signature, sometimes also referred to as "magic bytes". The signature can be used to infer the file format. If the file extension or signature does not match the file format, errors will occur when opening or editing the file. The FACES file extension is not found very often and includes various formats for various programs. The two most popular formats are as follows:
- 50% of all FACES files are based on the well-known PDF file format. PDF is short for Portable Document Format, is a file format to present documents, including text formatting and images, in a manner independent of application software, hardware, and operating systems. These files contain neither text nor words, but only data. The file size is in the range of 8 KB to 99 KB. It is a modern file type. The following filename is common: printDocuments.faces. Such files sometimes refer to cosdetails, view, documents, print, ondemand, reports, recent and start, and often consist of personal data.
- 30% of all FACES files internally utilize the HTML file format. HTML is short for HyperText Markup Language. It is the standard markup language for documents designed to be displayed in a web browser. The content consists of readable text data, which can be read using a text editor. The files are often between 1.3 KB and 1.9 KB in size. The files contain the following words: html xmlns, faces, DATB, Finalorg, basic_classes, eAFrvajdHLp8hjQAEgwDtA__, href, rel, renderkit, richfaces, xcss and xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><head><link class="component". The file name relatorioPreMatricula.faces or relatorio.faces is characteristic of these files. Files like these are about matricula, orderdetails and rematricula, and often contain personal information.
All other FACES files (20%) have no consistent format, often e.g. JavaServer FacesServlet pointer. Tagged as esami or afficher. Just click the "Choose your .faces file to analyze" button on this page to find out what your FACES file is.
