What is an FBM file?

FBM files mostly belong to DELFTship by DELFTship. The FBM filename extension is commonly associated with 3D graphics files created using DELFship, a software for creating 3D models of ships and other marine vessels. Contents of such FBM files include the 3D model's dimensions (width, height, depth), capacity, and meta data about the objects in the model. Other graphics software application also make use of the FBM file format. CADfix, a computer-aided design software stores the geometry objects of a project in a database file that has a FBM filename extension. An older use case of FBM files is for creating, editing, and converting images to a Bitmap file format with a now obsolete graphics manipulation library called FBM.

How do you open FBM files?

You need a suitable software like DELFTship to open an FBM file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. The files are on average 63 KB in size and range from 24 KB to 100 KB. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. FREE!ship and JFIF. Such files sometimes refer to parent, laser, demo, free and ship.
