What is an FSF file

FSF files mostly belong to FontShop. FSF files are used in several specialized areas and do not have a single definition.
Most commonly, an FSF file is a FontShop Font file used in digital typography. It stores font data such as glyph designs and metrics for use in font management and design.
FSF files also appear in different fields. For example:

• FEAT fMRI analysis setup files – used by the FSL (FMRIB Software Library) for organizing neuroimaging analysis parameters. More information is available at FSL documentation.

How to open FSF files

You need a suitable software like FontShop to open an FSF file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. FSF file format:

If you can determine the file format, the associated program can also be determined. A file format is determined by the file extension and signature, so JPEG images have the extension .jpg and the first bytes in the file are ÿØÿ. If the file extension or signature does not match the file format, errors will occur when opening or editing the file.
