What is a GRT file?

GRT files mostly belong to Karaoke software. GRT files serve multiple functions. The most common use is as a video file format used in karaoke systems. For example, a file may act as a Karaoke MIDI file with lyrics that synchronizes video playback with on-screen text.
Other observed functions include:

How to open a GRT file

GRT is not that commonly used as a file extension. This file type includes different formats for different programs. The following file formats are most commonly found in GRT files:

• 35% of all GRT files use the same file format, which have the signature 47 54 01 00. They consist of illegible, cryptic characters. The files are 690 MB to 700 MB in size, with a median of 700 MB. The file type is old but is used even today.
• 15% of all GRT files internally utilize the PDF file format.
