What is an HWR file?

HWR files mostly belong to Humminbird Helix.

How to open an HWR file

The HWR file extension is rather rarely used and includes various formats for various programs. But the following two file formats are common:

• 25% of all HWR files use the same file format, which can be identified by the letters "02 02 00 24 00" at the beginning. The file type is relatively new. The file name Data.hwr is characteristic of these files.

The files are on average 1 KB in size and range from 100 bytes to 25 KB. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as Home. A usual file name is DATA.HWR.
