IIQ file format:
Each file has a definite file format, that is, how the stored data is arranged in the file. Each file format has a unique extension and almost always a unique signature. For example, Microsoft Word documents have the extension .docx and the signature (usually the first 3 characters in this file) PK. File extension, signature and file format must match; otherwise errors will occur when the file is opened. Exact knowledge of the format is therefore important in order to solve problems occurring in files. Our examination of the IIQ files comes to the following conclusion:
IIQ is not a common file extension and mainly uses a defined IIQ format. The file formats most commonly found in IIQ files are:
- 95% of all IIQ files belong to Intelligent Image Quality - Phase One RAW image. The files are using the common file format TIFF. TIFF is short for Tagged Image File Format. It stores raster graphics images that support color depths from 1 to 24-bit, lossy and lossless compression and multiple layers and pages. These files contain neither text nor words, but only data. A typical file size is 100 MB. The file type was developed only in the last few years. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as IIIICwaR. These files can be linked to camera and flim.
All other IIQ files (5%) have no consistent format. Just click the "Choose your .iiq file to analyze" button on this page to find out what your IIQ file is.
