JMD format details:
To find out what program is needed to open JMD files, you need to determine the file format. Often, the file format can be deduced from the file extension or the initial bytes (called the signature). File extension, signature and file format must match; otherwise errors will occur when the file is opened. Exact knowledge of the format is therefore important in order to solve problems occurring in files. In the following you will find our evaluation of the JMD files:
JMD is not a commonly used file extension and is mainly used by one program with a specific format. The file formats most commonly found in JMD files are:
- 70% of all JMD files use the same file format, which have the signature 4A 00 32 00 6D 00 20 00 44. The content consists of illegible binary data, which can only be read and interpreted by the associated programs. JMD files are between 11 KB and 4 MB in size. This is an old file type which is rarely used today. The keywords J2m Data Format 1.0 and j2m & raycity fighting!! are typical for these files. The file name 207r.jmd or booster.jmd is typical for these files. Files like these have the following tags: engine, bgnloginbgn and item.
- 10% of all JMD files start with the magic bytes MJD-0024, which are always the first bytes of this file format. These files contain neither text nor words, but only data. A typical file size is 30 KB. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as MJD-0024. Such files are related to field.
The remaining 20% of all JMD files are different files with different signatures, often e.g. title. These files are often connected to data, state or view. Just click the "Choose your .jmd file to analyze" button on this page to find out what your JMD file is.
